Victor Cruz – Fantasy Football Outlook

In the NFL, Victor Cruz is a well known commodity. Not just for his salsa dances in the end zone, but also for his results in Fantasy Football. Results that perfectly encapsulate all his gridiron glory throughout Sunday’s in the Fall, in form of fantasy points.

However, it’s safe to say the last couple years — since Cruz’s rookie season — that he hasn’t been spectacular in the realm of fantasy. For instance, games in which Victor had more than 20 FF points in 2013 were down in comparison to his rookie season, wherein he produced five such efforts. Here are the totals from FFToday:

2013: 22.4, 29.8 : Total Year: 123.8

2012: 23.0, 23.9 : Total Year: 169.2

2011: 22.4, 22.4, 23.0, 23.8, 27.7: Total Year: 207.9

Victor Cruz: “Giant Defense give me fits”

Despite the cascading production of Victor Cruz in Fantasy Football over the years, his positive attitude remains one of the best. He’s out there giving it his all, signing autographs, and apparently being given fits by the Giants new-look secondary:

While that can be interpreted as good — after all it shows Victor to be a good teammate — it could be a sign that Victor Cruz’s skills are diminishing in similar fashion to his football numbers. However, that’s an extremely pessimistic approach to fandom.

It’s a new year, Giants Nation… remind yourself of that and understand these Giants players all have goals to be the best. Let those conflicting thoughts spin in your mind as you determine where Victor Cruz will land in your Fantasy Football draft.
