Moving on to Sunday’s line-up. Yep, still no Giants, the G-Men are scheduled for Monday Night Football. However, this is NFL week one, there are games to watch galore. This time around, we’ll give you the analysis first and then leave you with Sunday’s slew of NFL contests.

First-up, our Lead writer James (@bigbluebloggers ) will give us all his three LIKES of NFL Week 1:

"New Orleans at Atlanta I like the Saints only laying down -3. That high powered offense should put up a lot of points against that atrocious Falcons defense. I rolled with a Jimmy Graham/Drew Brees combo in most of my daily fantasy leagues to take advantage of that match-up. Minnesota at St. Louis Vikings +3 1/2 against a Rams team that will probably have trouble scoring is intriguing New England at Miami I also like the Pats -5 1/2, I think they will be really, really good defensively this year and I am not a big believer in what’s going on in Miami at the moment. Overall Giants Nation, Some pretty good NFL Week 1 match-ups, that Broncos/Colts Sunday nighter should be fantastic, but I wouldn’t touch it."

There are plenty of great games to choose from. If you click on any of the Bovada links, it’ll take you straight to the latest lines and odds. Keep in mind, when picking these games for anything, whether it be from gambling with $$$ to doing a friendly pick-em at your place of Employment, the the idea is to win.

When you look at two teams, you have a “GUT” reaction. This is instinct. For instance, Atlanta vs New Orleans, I instinctively believe New Orleans will win, but if you look at their head-to-head you’ll see Atlanta clearly has the series lead 47-43.

However, you don’t want to only go off that, because the Falcons have lost 9 of their last 12 games against the Saints and haven’t put 30+ points on them since Nov 9, 2008 . All that we’re suggesting is that you do your homework if you’re studying these games.

Now, combined with my guy James and my gut, it’s easy to feel comfortable picking the Saints for GMENHQ.com

Understand Giants Nation: if you gamble with our picks alone, you’ll probably lose, so cross reference with your gut, with win/loss history, with injury reports and definitely with other gambling sites. There is no sure thing, but if you do your due diligence you will do better. Have some patience and play the odds to your favor.

If you do, you just might be a GIANT winner.
