So far this season, former New York Football Giants players Hakeem Nicks and Ahmad Bradshaw have combined for 803 yards and 8 touchdowns for the Indianapolis Colts through eight games. The Colts are 5-3.
Of the two, Ahmad Bradshaw is the more productive player in the Colts offense this season by a good measure. Even so, it’s interesting for some fans to look at these two players and think, what if?
With the Giants injuries to Victor Cruz and Rashad Jennings, thinking back to having Ahmad and Hakeem available is appealing in the now. Nevertheless, the Giants will be facing these players next Monday night, on November 3rd where the G-Men will be back home trying desperately to get back to .500 again.
It’s no secret the Giants need this win to stay in the divisional race, but it helps that the Washington Redskins did them a favor by slowing down the Dallas Cowboys this past Sunday night, 20-17 in OT.
As for the former Giants with the Colts, here are a couple of things we found on Twitter featuring the old team BLUE players. Starting with the hard hitting sounds of Bradshaw with the Horseshoes:
That’s just sounds of the game from Ahmad Bradshaw. Sure, it includes phrases like “Conquer the World”, but it’s not really a boastful statement. That’s not necessarily the case with Hakeem Nicks, whom recently said that he still views himself as the best in the league…
Confidence is one thing, stats are another. Many NFL players exude confidence, and getting it done in actuality on the gridiron may not always concur with their boastful pride and competitive nature (especially wide receivers). Still, it will be interesting to see how these players stand-up to their former teams next Monday.
Are you looking forward to seeing Prince Amukamara one-on-one with Hakeem Nicks? What about Mathias Kiwanuka trying to chase down Ahmad Bradshaw?
This will be a tough game for the Giants. The Colts are coming off a loss, but it took the Pittsburgh Steelers scoring 51 points to do it. In order to beat Andrew Luck and some of Eli Manning‘s former weapons like Bradshaw and Nicks, the Giants need to have their best game of the season.
