5. Terrible Coaching

From head coach Tom Coughlin all the way to defensive coordinator Perry Fewell, the Giants can’t seem to adjust accordingly during games to have a fighting chance of winning. Just when they look like they have an opportunity to seal the deal, they fall flat on their faces. The better teams of the NFL all know that superior coaching will always win you a couple of football games even when the talent isn’t there.

Next season, the Giants must decide what to do with their coaching situation. Major changes could be coming as both Coughlin and Fewell might be on the way out if the season ends on a terrible note. If that is the scenario, the Giants would need to get a new head coach that brings more aggression and fire into the organization. They also need a defensive coordinator that can get the most out of his players since lately the Giants’ defense has lacked the passion needed to get the job done towards the end of football games.
