3. Protect Eli Manning
We all know the Giants offensive line isn’t good and we all know Manning isn’t a quarterback known for extending plays with his feet. This means that in order for Manning to succeed, he needs to have a superb offensive line to give him time to hang in the pocket and dissect opposing defenses.
The Giants offensive line has been riddled with injuries with the latest being losing Geoff Schwartz for the remainder of the season.
The Titans do a decent job at getting pressure on opposing quarterbacks and could cause trouble for Manning if his offensive line cannot provide enough time. Look, they don’t have to be outstanding, just good enough to allow Manning to make plays.
They also must open up holes for the ground game in order to set the tempo of the game. It probably won’t be pretty, but it has to happen at least to some degree if the Giants wish to end their losing ways.
