5. Leonard Williams DE: USC

Leonard Williams is a big bruiser upfront for the USC Trojans. He has the versatility and strength to play anywhere on the defensive line. He is a powerful bull rusher and is very reliant on his brute strength. He is quicker than he is fast and has a good first step off the ball.

One of his underrated qualities is the ability to recognize screen passes and to get his hands up for potential tips. Williams is a bit raw of a prospect but he is an incredible athlete. His game has some room to grow as he plays with a high pad level and he worries about breaking down too much when tackling (I’d rather see him play a bit more recklessly and just run through the ball carrier.) Overall he projects to become a star in the NFL
