The Giants gave up 135.1 yards rushing per contest, which is third worst in the league. Good defenses start with stopping the run. When you can run on your opponent it opens up the entire playbook, it wears down the defense and it keeps your offense on the field. The run game is still crucial in the NFL and the Giants were horrible at stopping it.
