4. Charles Clay, Tight End

Charles Clay is one of the most versatile tight ends in the NFL, though the casual fan may not know this member of the Miami Dolphins. In four seasons with the Dolphins, Clay has amassed 161 receptions for 1,809 yards and 14 touchdowns. Clay is a decent blocker and has the good hands you expect from a quality tight end.

Clay was not used as much as a receiver in his first two seasons. He became an essential part of the Dolphins passing game in 2013 when he had 69 receptions and 6 touchdowns. Clay had 58 receptions and 3 touchdowns this past season; the numbers are a bit down because of the productive presence of rookie receiver Jarvis Landry.

Clay would be an exceptional compliment to Larry Donnell in two tight end sets. Clay won’t break the bank, he is no Jimmy Graham. However when you’re talking under the radar guys available as a free agent, it does not get much better than this dynamic tight end.
