1. The Battle Of The Trenches

This Super Bowl will be won by the big guys, the offensive and defensive linemen. This Super Bowl will be won by linebackers and by running backs blocking in pass protection. It is all about the battle in the trenches, and that is why this is the number one matchup.

The Seahawks defense dominated the Denver Broncos last year by putting constant pressure on Peyton Manning. Even when the pressure did not take Manning to the ground, they messed with his launch point and threw off the timing of the plays. Seattle has a similar task, in getting Brady uncomfortable.

Offensively the Seahawks have to be able to run the football. The run game is the life blood of their offense. The talent on the Seahawks offense that truly shines is found along the offensive line and in the backfield. If New England can stop the run, the Seahawks are in trouble.

A pass happy Seahawks team will not be able to beat the Patriots. The Seahawks have to force the Patriots to play their kind of football game if they plan to become champions once again in a repeat.
