2. Draft Danny Shelton With 9th Overall Selection
The Giants are working towards rebuilding their defense. Drafting the defensive tackle from Washington, Danny Shelton, could give the Giants a dominant defensive line. Football is a battle won in the trenches; Shelton is the immovable object.
It would not be a sexy pick, drafting a 343 pound defensive tackle. Shelton however would be worth the top 10 pick. Shelton would demand double teams inside. His inside push will help the defensive ends get to the quarterback. The pairing of Shelton and Johnathan Hankins inside would help the run defense.
