2nd Round: Eric Kendricks | LB | UCLA

The first round will see the pass rushers and the immovable objects fly off the board; the second round will feature top tier interior linebackers. The Giants are going to rebuild their front 7 in this draft. Drafting Eric Kendricks is another step in this process.

Kendricks is a textbook tackler. He was one of the most entertaining linebackers to watch in college football because he had such great instincts. He knew how to find the football and he attacked like a headhunter. He plays fast and will be the leader of the defense for years to come.

In this mock draft, we are focusing on the defense for good reason. The Giants ranked 31st in total defense during the 2014 season. With Jon Beason as a potential cap casualty, picking Kendricks makes a ton of sense.
