4th Round: Donovan Smith | OT | Penn State

Smith is a monster, which I mean in the nicest way possible. He is an imposing 6’5″ 335 pounds and he was a good player on an average Penn State team. If he played for Ohio State I think he’d be a 2nd round pick. Penn State is not what it once was and his draft stock is hurt a bit by this.

Smith does well against a bull rush. He has good quick feet and he maintains balance. He is not afraid to sacrifice his body for the good of the football team, he is as tough as they come. Smith did great at the Senior Bowl.

The Giants got a starting offensive tackle in the 4th round. They got a space eating defensive tackle, a textbook tackling linebacker and a good pas rusher. There is nothing unrealistic about it either. It shows the promise of this draft class.
