The NFL Draft is a truly incredible event. Thinking of the painstaking work that all 32 franchises go through to know every possible prospect better than they know the alphabet or simple addition is simply amazing. Hitting on draft picks can result in Super Bowl rings, missing on draft picks can lead to lost jobs.

No team can afford their first round draft pick to be a bust. A bust is a player who never did what he was expected to do when he was drafted. Decision makers often put themselves in a position where they have to take risks. Some players have tremendous upside, but also have red flags that could lead to them being a bust. These are players I refer to as Boom or Bust prospects.
