Whenever you take a quarterback early in the first round, you are taking a risk. Marcus Mariota is as complete a quarterback prospect as you have in this year’s draft class. That being said, we have to see if his game will translate to the next level.

Mariota played at Oregon, meaning he threw to the most talented receiving options in a super fast tempo spread offense. Mariota will need to show that he can keep his stellar mechanics while taking the snap from under center. He will have to show that he can read the defense and go through his progressions at an NFL speed.

Mariota has unbelievable talent. His skill-set is similar to that of Aaron Rodgers. If he gets to a good situation and is groomed well at the next level, Mariota will be a star.
