3. Make Some Tough Decisions

The Giants have a lot of big decisions when it comes to some free agents this offseason. Team captain Antrel Rolle is the most notable free agent the Giants have besides the recently tagged Pierre-Paul. The Giants want Rolle back, but at their price. All signs are indicating that the Giants will offer Rolle a dramatic decrease in his previous salary.

If he’s not willing to accept that the Giants will let him go. The Giants need to keep in mind that Rolle is a great leader, but is climbing up the ladder in age. The Giants would be smart to bring him back, but only if it’s for a reasonable number.

In addition to Rolle, some other important free agents are Stevie Brown, Henry Hynoski, Jerrel Jernigan, Daniel Fells, and Walter Thurmond. Clearly the Giants have a lot of tough decisions to make. Most of these players have an important role on the team. The bottom line is that the NFL is a business, and nothing is personal. The Giants can’t retain all these players, so it would be wise to invest in the youth of the team. They need to tread cautiously and carefully decide who they are going to let go or re-sign.
