37. New York Jets: Ameer Abdullah, RB

The Jets realize that their quarterback situation is bleak. Instead of trying to force a solution, they are going to overload the offense with talent. In the 1st Round of our mock draft the Jets took Kevin White. Here the Jets take Ameer Abdullah to be the centerpiece of their offense.

If you thought the ground and pound philosophy would leave with Rex Ryan, think again. The Jets offense needs the running game too badly. Abdullah is a speedy running back who can get tough yards inside the tackles.

In the open field, Abdullah is almost uncatchable. This is the perfect draft pick for the New York Jets. When you have poor quarterback play, you cannot have enough running backs can you?
