40. New York Giants: Jay Ajayi, RB (Boise State)

There is no question that the Giants need to improve their running game. They do not have a featured back which puts the pressure squarely on Eli Manning and the passing game. This in turn puts the pressure on the offensive line to protect Manning constantly. My hypothesis is that if the Giants had a powerful running back, the run game would improve and so would the offensive line.

Jay Ajayi is a powerful rusher who can get the tough yards in-between the tackles. He has the ability to simply wow you with his speed, elusiveness and his Marshawn Lynch style of running. Ajayi can help with pass protection and is a good receiver out of the backfield.

There is no doubt that Ajayi would be a game-changer on the offense. The Giants would be given an entirely new element to their offense, making them less predictable. Manning would get sacked less, if the Giants could rely on their run game.
