New York Giants Should Draft Vic Beasley
In the past few seasons the New York Giants defense has not been consistent and has not met the high expectations of their fans. The Giants can begin to fix their defensive problems by drafting Vic Beasley, Clemson’s explosive defensive end.
Because of injuries and the lackluster style of defensive coordinator Perry Fewell, opponents have had their way with the defense. In 2014 the Giants ranked 29th in the NFL. With the return of the beloved defensive coordinator Steve Spagnuolo, the Giants look to make major changes to the defense.

Beasley is a top-tier pass rusher. His 6-3 246 pound solid frame makes him a force to be reckoned with. He applies much needed pressure to the opposing team’s quarterback and has a knack for forcing fumbles.
If Beasley is available with the 9th overall pick, the Giants should draft him. He would be a good addition to the Giants defense. Beasley would have the opportunity to develop into something special, under Spagnuolo’s great defensive coaching.
The NFL Draft is the perfect time to add fresh talent to the Giants defense. Beasley is a solid and productive pass rusher. In 2014 he had 37 tackles and 12 sacks. He consistently pressured quarterbacks. Beasley is a very impressive football player and an incredible athlete. This is the kind of defensive end the Giants need, a real difference maker off the edge.
It’s been said that “defense win championships” and it has proven to be true. We saw this in February, when the Super Bowl essentially ended with an interception on the one yard line. If the Giants want to get back to their winning ways, Beasley can help them to do that.
