Brian Orakpo saw his price tag drop because of his torn pectoral injury. His most recent injury and his trouble with injuries in the past is the red flag that allows a freak of nature athlete to be a realistic option for the tight-to-the-cap Giants.

Orakpo would be a defensive end in the Giants defense, a position he has not played since he was a Texas Longhorn. This could be a fresh start for the sack specialist. If he can stay on the field he could play a huge part in rebuilding the Giants defense.

Orakpo had 10 sacks in 2013 and has 40 sacks in his career. He only played in 7 games in 2014 and missed all but 2 games in the 2012 season. Orakpo is an affordable player because he is a risky investment. If he can stay healthy, the Giants would be wise to sign him.
