9. Landon Collins, SS (Alabama)

Landon Collins is a strong safety who hits like a bolt of lightning. He is an impressive athlete who is best inside the tackle box, but does not lack the versatility to do his job deep down the field. He is a very impressive player who has been a leader on some great Alabama Crimson Tide defenses.

In measuring the impact that Collins can have, the statistics speak for themselves. In 2013, Collins had 70 total tackles, 4 tackles for a loss, 2 interceptions and a defensive touchdown. He followed that up in 2014 with 103 total tackles, 4.5 tackles for a loss, 3 interceptions and a forced fumble.

Collins could be a player that emulates Troy Polamalu. He has the ability to line up in the box and drop back to make a game changing interception down the field. He has the ability to impact the run defense and the pass defense.

Collins is easily the most multi-dimensional safety to come out of the draft since Polamalu. This could be a game changing talent, and the Giants should target him with the 9th overall pick.
