2015 NFL Draft: Big Board 2.0 Top 25 Prospects
Nov 29, 2014; Louisville, KY, USA; Louisville Cardinals wide receiver DeVante Parker (9) runs the ball against the Kentucky Wildcats during the second half at Papa John
11. Devante Parker, WR (Louisville)
Devante Parker has been one of the most entertaining receivers to watch in college football. Parker does all the little things that make a receiver great. He runs great routes, he is sure handed, he can make the tough grabs, he gets the ball at its highest point and comes back to the ball to help his QB.
Pardon the run on sentence, but it had to be done to convey how meticulously Parker has perfected his craft. Parker does not have elite speed, but he is a very quick receiver who gets open.
Injuries have been a problem for Parker. He only played 7 games in 2014, yet he caught 43 passes and scored 5 touchdowns. Just think what kind of season he could have had if he played in all 13 games. He was on pace to smash his 2013 success, when he caught 55 receptions, had 885 yards and scored 12 touchdowns.
Parker will be the third receiver taken in the 2015 NFL draft, behind White and Cooper. If I had to bet money on it, I’d say he’s going to the Cleveland Browns with the 12th overall pick.
Next: 12. Dante Fowler Jr., OLB (Florida)
