22. D.J. Humphries, OT (Florida)

D.J. Humphries is a very talented offensive tackle from Florida. The thing that has shot Humphries into the top 25 is his athletic ability. He is a quick footed tackle with the big tall frame and the long arms you look for in an offensive tackle.

Humphries ran a 5.12 second 40 yard dash at the NFL combine. That is not bad for an offensive tackle. Humphries has the talent to be dominant though he may have to start his career as a right tackle. He’ll have to grow into an NFL left tackle but there is much reason to believe that he will get there.

Humphries has everything you look for from a physical standpoint. With good coaching he could be a star left tackle for years to come. The potential is surely there.

This is a very intriguing offensive tackle. If the Giants were willing to trade back this far, this could be a targeted player. They certainly would get a lot for trading into the late teens or 20’s.
