24. Eddie Goldman, DT (FSU)
Eddie Goldman is an explosive defensive tackle who can penetrate and cause chaos in the backfield. He projects to be a 3 technique in the NFL, a guy who can disrupt things and make the defensive end’s life easier.
Goldman was a good and player with the Seminoles. In 2014 he had 35 total tackles, 8 tackles for a loss and 4 sacks. He also forced a fumble. He got better in all 3 seasons of his college career. By the end of his junior season, he was a dominant defender.
Goldman ranks as the 3rd best defensive tackle in this draft class behind Shelton and Brown. The 6-4 320 pound defensive tackle has a good burst off the ball and is too quick for guards and tackles.
This is a very good football player with a high motor. Goldman is a safe pick, because he will be able to play at a high level, right away.
