3. Shane Ray, OLB/DE (Missouri)
Shane Ray is a relentless pass rusher who strikes fear into the entire offense his team is playing. With the Missouri Tigers he was a dominant player. In 2014 he won off the edge with regularity, sacking the opponents quarterback 14.5 times. He also forced 3 fumbles and had 22.5 tackles for a loss.
This is the type of production that has made Ray a potential top 5 selection in the prime time spotlight of the NFL Draft. The 6-3, 245 pound Ray, is the prototypical outside linebacker for a 3-4 defense. In fact Ray reminds me of Terrell Suggs, a potential future hall of famer with the Baltimore Ravens.
Shane Ray has a high motor, it seems like he plays the game angry. Ray can win off the edge with his speed, but he also has the quickness and strength to beat an offensive tackle inside.
Ray’s game is all about combining his physical explosive ways with his grade A tenacity. There is no doubt, Ray will be a superstar in the NFL.
