7. Amari Cooper, WR (Alabama)
Amari Cooper was so good that his offensive coordinator, Lane Kiffin was infamously caught celebrating before the football was even thrown…twice. Cooper is the most polished route runner at the receiver position in this draft class. He is an almost identical prospect to what Odell Beckham Jr. was last Spring.
The 6-1 Cooper, caught 124 passes in 2014 for 1,727 yards and 16 touchdowns. He may be the greatest Alabama receiver of all time, which is an impressive statement considering Julio Jones was from Alabama as well.
Cooper’s one real concern is that he drops too many passes. He will drop the occasional pass, that lands right in his hands. He is normally sure handed but, I have to give you one knock on an otherwise perfect wide receiver, right?
Cooper is a true number one receiver and he can do just about anything at the receiver position. Cooper was one of the most enjoyable players to watch in college football the past several seasons.
