8. Trae Waynes, CB (MSU)

This Michigan State Spartan has the potential to be a Richard Sherman like shutdown corner. He is aggressive in man coverage. He dominates receivers at the line of scrimmage, that paired with his impressive recovery speed make him exceptional as a bump and run cornerback.

Waynes has the prototype body for the cornerback position. He is 6-1 and weighs a lean 182 pounds. Quarterbacks tend to stay away from Waynes, he only defended 8 passes in 2014. It speaks to his consistency and efficiency when you consider of those 8 passes, he picked off 3 of them.

Waynes is ahead of his peers at the cornerback position. Any rookie cornerback needs time to develop into a star, but Waynes could be a quality starter on day 1.

There is no perfect cornerback that never gets beat. Waynes may just be as close as it gets to perfect in this draft class though. This is a top 10 talent undoubtedly.
