2. Derron Smith
Fresno State safety, Derron Smith, is one of the better cover guys at the safety position in the upcoming draft. Smith brings both the ability to play in the box as well as a play-making instinct as well. Some say he’s undersized at his 5’10” and 200 lb. frame, but his play on the field has proven to play bigger.
I really think Smith is the best all-around player at the position in this draft. His size and physical characteristics don’t jump off the table, but he could be a very viable pick for big blue in the 2nd-round.
