4. Byron Jones, UCONN

Connecticut cornerback, Byron Jones, absolutely tore up the NFL combine. He recorded the highest vertical jump, broad jump, and the 6o yard shuttle out of all players at the position.

What stands out to me is that Jones is well-known for his leadership and toughness with teammates. This is the kind of player the Giants want on their roster.

Yes, he’s a very good cover corner, you don’t get to being one of the best cornerback prospects without doing so, but its good to see that extra intangible that very few bring to the table.

It’s always good to have a cerebral player like Jones on your roster, and it seems like if the Giants were to draft Jones he’d fall anywhere from the 2nd to 3rd-round. I don’t think you could lose with this guy on your roster.
