2015 NFL Preview: Pre-Draft Power Rankings
December 28, 2014; Santa Clara, CA, USA; San Francisco 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick (7) high-fives fans after the game against the Arizona Cardinals at Levi
22. San Francisco 49ers
Surprised 49ers fans? I’m guessing most of you aren’t. The 49ers are one hot mess on both sides of the ball. They lost Michael Crabtree to free agency, which only hurts the already struggling Colin Kaepernick.
The 49ers once fearsome defense is falling part, starting with Patrick Willis and Chris Borland retiring. They already had enough issues and now they lost their best player on defense.
They managed to replace Frank Gore properly with Reggie Bush, one of their only bright spots of this offseason. Bush should fit really well as the featured running back in the 49ers backfield. Bush and Carlos Hyde should provide a decent one-two punch.
Head coach Jim Tomsula has a long road ahead of him. He couldn’t have came in at a worse time. Jim Harbaugh left one huge mess on his way to Michigan.
