Well, it’s been one crazy offseason for the Saints. They started off the free agency with a bang, trading away one of the NFL’s best tight ends in Jimmy Graham. The Saints may have single-handedly ruined their season with the moves they made.

They traded away Graham, Kenny Stills, and Ben Grubbs. With all of these players traded away, that leaves holes all over the offense. Sean Payton claims protecting Drew Brees is a priority, but trading away these players only makes it harder for him to release the ball. Giving him more time to get hit.

It’s easy to understand that Payton wants to protect Brees and gain some more draft picks for the future. However, it’s not that wise of him to give way a franchise player in the process. Those kinds of players are one of a kind and take years for some teams to weed out.

Payton better have one hell of a draft, otherwise the Saints are going to have another mediocre year. No one seems to be safe on the Saints roster. There was even reported rumors of Brees being up for trade which would surely ruin the Saints season altogether.
