What Seattle Seahawks, general manager, John Schneider, was able to accomplish in trading for Jimmy Graham is quite amazing.

Beyond re-signing Marshawn Lynch, trading for Graham might be the team’s only true significant move in free agency, but frankly I don’t care. The loss of Byron Maxwell is significant, but with players like Jeremy Lane, and Tharold Simon still on board, to go along with Richard Sherman, I don’t see a real reason to worry.

The loss of a first round pick, and veteran center, Max Unger, is nothing to sneeze at, but for a Seahawks team looking to win titles now, trading away the 31st pick in the draft is a small cost to pay in acquiring a transcendent talent like Jimmy Graham.

The bottom line is this is a team that could easily be heading into the 2015 season as two-time defending champs. And this team is heading into 2015 greatly improved. This was a powerful chess move in the game of the NFL offseason.
