Detroit Lions Report Card: D
We move forward on our list to the Detroit Lions and no, they don’t get a D for Detroit. The Lions’ free agency so far has been a little disastrous with the obvious departure of Ndamukong Suh, who was by far, the biggest name on the list. You can’t really blame the Lions for not holding onto the big man, the new cap space prevented them from doing so.
Suh leaving for Miami was the biggest story in the free agent market and the Lions got the bad end of the stick. They also let go of defensive tackle Nick Fairley, so in a nutshell; they’re defensive line is non-existent.
The only signing the Lions have made till this point is nose tackle Tyrunn Walker, which in a way helps their o-line. They also lost running back Reggie Bush to the 49ers and have many more on the unsigned list.
The Lions have lost their way in the free agent market, but luckily they have more than a week to get back. It’s going to be a struggle for the Lions this year with Suh gone and if they want to bump up their grade; they need to play in the free agency market fast.
