Houston Texas Report Card: B

Now, we turn our attention to the AFC South and the Houston Texans. Overall, the Texans had a good free agency first wave due to the signing of veteran defensive tackle Vince Wilfork. The big man and Super Bowl winner will bring something extra to the Texans not only with strength, but experience.

Signing Wilfork was huge for the Texans because opponents now have to worry about him and Watt at the same time. The Texans now have two of the top five defensive tackles in the league. They also settled the quarterback position after trading away Ryan Fitzpatrick to the New York Jets with the signing of Hoyer.

They also snatched up Moore from Denver, which boosts up their secondary. The main concern for the Texans is trying to replace wide receiver Andre Johnson who is off to the Colts. They also lost linebacker Brooks and free safety Lewis.

The player that could replace Johnson is Cecil Shorts who is arriving from Jacksonville. Signing Hoyer and Wilfork saved the Texans from having a bad start to free agency, but these moves could put them in business in their division.
