Indianapolis Colts Report Card: A-
The next team in the AFC South is the Indianapolis Colts. If it weren’t for the Jets, the Colts would be the only A on this list. The Colts did a stellar job in the first week of free agency and are contenders. The Colts filled some major needs that they needed, especially with the services of running back Frank Gore. The one game that Andrew Luck needed to succeed and that was the running game.
The Colts signing Gore was huge for them, even though he isn’t at the top of the list, he’s for sure in the top five. Not only did they bring in Gore, but they managed to lure in Johnson from the Texans. The Colts are giving all the tools that Luck was missing.
They even strengthened their defense by bringing in outside linebacker Trent Cole and defensive tackle Kendall Langford. They won’t be needing the services of running back Trent Richardson, center A.Q Shipley, and Redding.
The Colts still have a list on unsigned players, but slowly they’ll get to them. As for their free agency moves, the Colts know what they’re doing and telling the league to watch out.
