Arizona Cardinals Report Card: B-

The Arizona Cardinals in the past years have been the team that’s always making improvements. They’re always active in the free agent market and their best signing during the week was of course, guard Mike LupatiThis signing definitely bolsters up their weakened offensive line and Lupati is the right man for the job. Drafted in 2010 by the San Francisco 49ers, Lupati has become a brand name in the position, so the Cardinals did a fine job with this signing.

They’ve also snapped up Atlanta Falcons’ powerful linebacker Sean Weatherspoon. The Cardinals are looking to compete with the Seattle Seahawks as the 49ers team looks to be crumbling. Lupati gives them stability on that line that can anchor and protect quarterback Carson Palmer.

The downside to the Cardinals’ free agency is the losses of Antonio Cromartie and veteran defensive tackle Darrel DockettBoth losses definitely weakens that defensive unit. New additions Lamar Woodley and Cory Redding will have to step up if they even have anything in the tank.

They also lost wide receiver Ted Ginn, guard Paul Fanaika and nose tackle Dan Williams to the market.
