New York Jets Report Card: A
Heading into this year’s free agency, you wouldn’t know if the New York Jets would do anything. A week has gone by and they’re the only team on this list with a straight A. The dynamic secondary duo is back in the Big Apple meaning Revis and Cromartie are in green again.
Along with signing the two best corners in the league, they traded for wide receiver Brandon Marshall and quarterback Ryan Fitzpatrick. The Jets are making serious moves and you can’t doubt them at this point to be contenders in the AFC East.
Gang Green also added Buster Skrine, guard James Carpenter and strong safety Marcus Gilchrist. The Jets are definitely making a statement around the league with these signings. They’ve splashed out the cash to solidify their spot as one of the best defensive teams yet again.
Adding Marshall and Fitzpatrick through trades were also a good piece of business to strengthen that offense. The Jets have been the best team in the first week of free agency and don’t be surprised if they close more deals.
