Oakland Raiders Report Card: B

Now we move on to the curious case of the Oakland Raiders. For the past decade, this team can’t get it right during the off-season or regular season. They splashed out the cash last year and ended up with four wins, this year they’re doing the same thing hoping for different results.

The Raiders have been the most active team in this year’s free agent market with the signings of Hudson, Lofton, Dockery, Ponder, Smith, running back Roy Helunose tackle Dan Williamsstrong safety Nate Allen and Super Bowl MVP linebacker Malcolm Smith

The solid signing to this point is Hudson because he can finally take care of that horrendous offensive line. Adding Allen and Smith bolsters up that weakened defense. They’ve also snatched up Richardson from the Colts. Departing for the Raiders are Woodley, McFadden, Branch and Chekwa.

We’ve seen this story many times with the Raiders where they spend and get nothing in return. They’ve done good so far filling in the defense and some of the offense that could help out promising quarterback Derek Carr.
