Baltimore Ravens Report Card: C-
Next on this list are the Baltimore Ravens and it’s not looking pretty. Even though the initial wave of free agency has passed, the Ravens only signed one player to their roster. Their addition is Houston Texans’ safety Kendrick Lewis. Their one and only signing so far is good, Lewis is a solid player in the secondary that could bring down the ball and go across the field.
The Ravens issue this free agency isn’t their inability to sign players, but the several they’ve lost to the market. Their top receiver Torrey Smith is gone and shipped off to San Francisco. Along with Smith, linebacker Pernell McPhee is leaving and seemed to be powerhouse in Baltimore. They’ve said goodbye to wide out Jacoby Jones, who was a good back-up for that unit. Tight end Owen Daniels and free safety Darian Stewart have left the building as well.
They’ve managed to hold on to running back Justin Forsett, which is a plus being that Ray Rice is out of the picture. Forsett will most likely be their No. 1 unless they make some moves which is highly doubtful.
Their list of unsigned players is more than a handful and the Ravens need to get cracking fast. If they had a free agent week like the first one, then the Ravens aren’t looking so hot.
