2015 NFL Draft Profile: WR Nelson Agholor, USC
Nelson Agholor is a good route runner with good hands and is a weapon when he has the football in the open field. In other words, he is a good receiver. In a league where you can never have enough talent at the wide receiver position, the New York Giants may have their eyes on Agholor in the 2015 NFL Draft.
The USC Trojans leaned on Agholor’s play making ability. The 6-1 190 lbs. receiver put on a show in the 2014 season with 104 receptions, 1,313 yards and 12 touchdowns. He is also a skilled punt returner with 4 touchdown returns in the past two seasons.

Agholor would be a good fit for the Giants in their pass happy offense. His skill set to be a slot receiver is the perfect complement to Odell Beckham Jr. and Victor Cruz. Agholor and Rueben Randle would rotate in the game as the 3rd receiver, if the Giants drafted Agholor.
GMENHQ Big Board 2.0 Ranking: 56th overall player
Strengths:
- Good route runner
- Good hands
- Decent vertical ability, can make catches in awkward positions in the air
- Good YAC (Yards After the Catch): He is an instinctive runner in the open field, who is quite elusive of a ball carrier
- Accomplished punt/kickoff returner
- Good fit for the Giants offense
Concerns:
- Lean Frame, lacks strength and toughness
- Decent but not amazing speed
Overall this is an intriguing option for the Giants, if he falls to their 3rd round selection. The Giants could justify drafting him in round 2 but since he won’t be a game changer, they need to draft other positions in the first two rounds. Agholor is a good role player who could develop into a fan favorite, if the Giants drafted him.
