While this is kind of a given, the Giants should definitely give Berhe a chance to step up. Berhe has to fill Antrel Rolle’s shoes, which is no easy task. On some level the Giants may feel that he is ready, because they didn’t sign any other safeties.

The Giants attempts at signing a free agent safety fell apart this offseason. The Giants historically never have had a “go hard” attitude in free agency. They probably did not throw enough money to attract any big names.

They should feel comfortable on some level letting youngsters come in and make a statement. Berhe did play one year under Rolle, so maybe he picked up a thing or two. The Giants should definitely explore him being a full-time starting option.
