2015 NFL Draft Profile: TE Clive Walford, Miami
The New York Giants would be greatly behooved by drafting a tight end to pair with Larry Donnell in two tight end sets. Clive Walford is a potential star at the tight end position that the Giants could draft in the 3rd or maybe even the 4th round. The 6-4 254 lbs. tight end from the Miami Hurricanes is a big play waiting to happen.
In 2014 Walford boosted his draft stock with a great year, despite the rocky quarterback play of Brad Kaya. He had 33 receptions for 676 yards and scored 7 touchdowns. The most impressive stat: 15.4 yards per reception. When he was targeted, he consistently came away with a big play for the Hurricanes.

- Versatile: You can use him like a Queen on a chess board he can do everything a tight end could be asked to do

Concerns:
- Walford will drop the occasional pass
- Not a great route runner
There is not much to dislike about Walford’s game. He is a big strong tight end who can block, and make big plays down the field. He is the perfect complement to Donnell.
Donnell is not a great blocker and is limited in what he can do other than as a flexed out tight end. Walford can line up anywhere, be a good blocker and is too athletic for linebackers to cover over the middle of the field. Walford is surely somebody for the Giants to keep their eyes on.
