2. Giants Will Have One Of The Top Offenses in the NFL
Manning thrived under Ben McAdoo’s west coast offense. He put up numbers similar to the year that he won the Super Bowl in 2011. He managed to do all of this with a very bad offensive line, with no Victor Cruz on the field, and with a very shaky running game. Clearly and old dog can learn new tricks.
The Giants struggled mightily in the beginning of the season because it was not only a new offense for Manning, but for the whole team as well. McAdoo’s offense is the opposite of Kevin Gilbride’s offense. It focuses on Manning’s football IQ rather than just throwing the ball up and hoping a receiver makes a play.
It took the Giants half a year to get McAdoo’s offense clicking, and boy was it worth it. For a while the Giants looked like a dangerous team, that is until injuries plagued the whole team.
In 2015 Manning will have both Cruz and Odell Beckham to throw the ball to. He has a tandem of three fantastic running backs that can take the pressure off of him. Most likely he will have some protection as well. Many of the offensive linemen that went down last season are making full recoveries. This combination leads to a very lethal Giants offense.
