Putting It All Together
When you add it all up Manning is a valuable quarterback, whose best moments put Giants fans on cloud nine. He is not perfect but he is a rock for this team. Manning seems perfect for McAdoo’s offense. One must wonder if his problems would have been so troubling if he was under McAdoo his entire career.
Manning is not consistent, he has his bad days. The biggest problem is that you never know when these bad days are coming. Manning seems to have a knack though for the moments that really matter. In the clutch times when champions have to grind out wins, give me Manning every time.
The question for the Giants now is what they should do with Manning in the long-term. His career seems to have found a second wind, a strong 2014 makes you think he could go another five seasons. However Manning has to earn it. It wouldn’t surprise anyone if 2015 was a struggle, would it?
Things are looking up for Manning. In 2014 we saw the good Manning on a bad team. How will he look in 2015? I’m betting on a mix of the good, the bad and the ugly.
