4th Round: Ali Marpet, OG (Hobart)
Jerry Reese is infamous for taking a risk on prospects from a small school. Ali Marpet is the annual risk of the NFL Draft for the Giants, though this risk is just what the doctor ordered.
Marpet is a quick footed guard who shows the athleticism and the strength to dominate in the NFL. He is perfect for the zone blocking scheme, a big bruiser that can move. Marpet ran the fastest 40 yard dash for an offensive lineman at the 2015 NFL Scouting Combine.
The reason Marpet will fall to the 4th round is that it is tough to evaluate him due to the level of competition he played against in college. Hobart is a small school that barely holds relevance to NFL fans.
Marpet however has everything that an offensive guard needs to have to be successful. He is a talent the Giants should take a chance on.
