5th Round: Stefon Diggs, WR (Maryland)

Stefon Diggs is a flashy wide receiver who has the potential to be an absolute steal in this draft class. The reason he is so far down the board with his second round talent, is back to back seasons that ended with an injury.

Diggs is explosive and can jump up and make big time catches worth a standing ovation. He has the ability to be a great kick off returner. Many people outside of Maryland don’t even know his name because he has had such a hard time staying healthy.

In the 5th round Diggs is a low risk. That’s the beauty of this selection, a small investment that could pay off big. Diggs would be a perfect weapon to rotate into the slot in between the Giants big name wide receivers.

This is a low risk that could be absolutely huge for the Giants if he stays healthy. This is a rare chance to grab a real playmaker in the 5th round.
