7. Breshad Perriman, WR (UCF)
There is no receiver that is generating more 1st round buzz than Breshad Perriman after his dazzling pro day. With a insanely fast 4.24 second 40 yard dash at the UCF Pro Day, Perriman may have proven to be the fastest receiver in this draft class.
The problem is that this reminds me of Darrius Heyward-Bay. Heyward-Bey was drafted 7th overall by the Oakland Raiders in 2009, solely because he was the fastest receiver. The Raiders took a massive reach on this selection and now Heyward-Bey is on his third team and he only had three receptions in the 2014 season.
Perriman drops too many passes. He is not a great route runner. He is a great athlete, but will he be a big time wide receiver? Can he ever be more than a deep bomb target? Perriman has major potential but is a major risk in the first round.
Can he ever be a number one target that can be leaned on consistently? These are all questions that Perriman must answer as a professional football player.
