6. Devin Funchess, WR (Michigan)
The red flags of Devin Funchess do not extend off the field. This is another top tier receiving threat whose game needs major work. Funchess has a big frame and decent speed but it is hard to put a label on him.
Funchess has receiver speed and tight end size. That being said he is not a strong blocker, he does not make contested catches over the middle and he does not have the expected physicality of a tight end.
If you draft Funchess you’re betting on his athletic ability and his high ceiling. Funchess is 6-4 and weighs 232 pounds. With coaching he has tremendous talent.
Drafting Funchess in the 1st round would be a major risk, as there is no indication he can put up 1st round worthy production. In the 2nd round he may just be worth betting on.
