4. Andrus Peat, OT (Stanford)

Andrus Peat is a potential pick of the New York Giants at the 9th overall spot. I would be a fan of the selection because he has the potential to be an all time great left tackle. That being said, I cannot ignore the fact that he was inconsistent at Stanford.

Peat has the physical tool set to be a machine at the left tackle position. He is a different kind of tackle though. He has a tall and lean frame with quick feet and massive legs. He has more athletic talent than most tackles do, but many have questioned his strength.

I think some of the reservations people have with Peat are valid, therefore he is high on the risk list. That being said I think people are nitpicking a bit here too.

He moves very well, but it looks awkward because his legs are bigger than some people and he is a very lanky individual. Peat is a potential top 10 pick for a reason but he will have to prove he can be a dominant player in the NFL.
