3. Jaelen Strong, WR (ASU)

This is another player that I absolutely love watching on the football field, but in the 1st round, Strong is a gamble. Strong may never be a number 1 wide receiver in the NFL.

He reminds me of Anquan Boldin, one of my favorite players of all time. There is nothing wrong with being a great number 2 receiver, but if you’re drafted in the 1st round you’re expected to be a true number 1.

Strong is not a great route runner. He is not somebody who is going to burn past coverage on a consistent basis and he relies way too heavily on his amazing ability to jump up and win the 50/50 balls.

Strong is a very good receiver but he is a limited one. He has the potential to grow into a superstar but he will always be what he is athletically.
