While the Florida State quarterback may be the consensus number one pick, I am not going to sit here and say he is the best overall draft pick. Surely he has the potential to save a losing franchise, he is unbelievably talented. That being said there are 3 players I would feel more safe taking first overall, which makes him the fair number 4 prospect.

We might as well start with the good. Winston has a rocket arm, with good (though inconsistent) accuracy. He is a clutch passer in the big moments. He is a dual threat and his size and strength is comparable to Ben Roethlisberger‘s.

Winston has the ability to be special. While he may be a risk at the next level, he is someone who a quarterback needy team cannot in good conscience pass on.

Winston is a clown off the field. That being said his teammates seem to love him and he comes through big in the big moment.
